"Consider it pure joy,my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."
When I was a youth participant in my church in Leitchfield, Ky.-there was a prominent abbreviation that we used often-PBPGINFWMY-Please be patient God is not finished with me yet.We even had a blue magnet on the dashboard of our car with this abbreviated visual reminder that God continues to grow us daily.
James reminds us in the verses above that whenever you face trials, not if you face trials, it is possible to profit from them. We need to have a positive outlook because of what trials can produce in our lives. They can be times of learning-teaching us perseverance(many times referred to as patience or steadfastness).
God desires to make us mature and complete; as He did his Son. See your struggles as growing opportunities. Then thank Him for promising to be with us in tough times. Ask Him for help in solving your problems or for strength to endure. Then exercise patience. He will not leave you alone with your problems; He will stay close and help you grow.
