Praying With Tears

“The Father said no, (to the request of His Son), despite the unfathomable love He had for His Son, because He knew He could not spare His Son and save a world.”

In other words, God did not spare His Son, because His glory would be immeasurably seen in the death and resurrection of His Son, Christ. God did not spare His Son because “His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways” and the death and resurrection of Christ provides the means of redemption to those who are called and respond to the hope of Christ – the power of the gospel of eternal life.

This thought, this reality, this powerful truth, gives us steadfast hope. In the times of our lives when the “no” of God is palatable, let us hold fast to His glory. Let us pray that our minds will experience a life changing paradigm shift…moving from our own self-perspective to the transformed perspective of God’s glory unfolding, regardless of the circumstances of our lives…God cannot and will not act against His nature…and in this reality we are safe.

We pray in tears and there is power in prayer. In fact, God delights in the prayers of His people. Then we rest in peace, in the hope of Christ, confident in the watchful and steadfast love of God.
