The fact that God would even consider being my friend after I was such a jerk to Him for so long is truly amazing. God's grace is beyond my reasoning capacities. To understand God's mercy to sinners requires a mind with infinite realized capacities. Only God can consider it and only God can give it.
He is beyond our understanding, but not beyond our grasp. God has reached down to us through His Son. His friendship is available to those who will receive His infinite love.
As our friend, God will hold us in His hand and hold us together.
