Easier Said Than Done

We all want to obey God and do what it is He has planned for us. Sometimes it is hard to know what it is God wants us to do. We have to work hard to be able to know for certain it is indeed God we are listening to. But once we know what to do, it can be difficult to do what God wants.

I met a couple for breakfast this morning who planted a church here in Norfolk, Virginia. They began the church five years ago. They have experienced a lot of highs and even more lows, but the church is now doing well and they are seeing fruit from their efforts. The couple is very excited about the church, but are somewhat sad because they believe God wants them to leave this church and plant another church. They have literally given sweat and blood to this church and now they must turn it over to another leader and again go through the hardship and heartbreak of planting a new church.

What is God calling you to do? Don't assume it is what is easiest. It may even seem crazy to the people who love you.

Obey God. He'll take care of you.
