March Madness is almost upon us. It is that time of year when the "hoops" junkies get their fill of basketball action. Why, even my wife pays attention long enough to fill out her brackets when "Selection Sunday" reveals the pairings for the field of college basketball teams.
We all will look at our brackets and try to determine which matchups and which team is playing best at this time of year. Someone I know well(don't ask), may choose the winner based on a team's mascot, the cheerleading squad's outfits, or other highly analytical methods. While others will ultimately base their decision on who has the best team. Who is playing the best ball together at this time of year?
Blackaby reminds us today that God has placed each of us as a vital member of a spiritual team-God's living body. And the Holy Spirit-God in us-exists to equip and empower the members for His glory!Each of us has unique talents and are asked to join Him in accomplishing certain tasks.
The Spirit has a certain assignment for you within the body(team), and equips you accordingly for that work. Have you benefitted those around you today? Are you serving for the ultimate glorification of God's Kingdom(team), instead of your own self-interest or agenda?
Allow God to work freely within you to accomplish those "team" tasks so that other team members will be blessed.
