Really? My Cross?

There are many days when I don't feel like bearing my cross. Dr. Blackaby said, "you can never follow Jesus unless you first have taken up your cross." I find my self willing to follow, maybe just not so willing to deny my self and take up the cross that is before me.

As I sat through a celebration of the life of Suzanne Henry yesterday, I was reminded of someone who took up their cross daily. Suzanne went home to be with our Lord in September of 2007 but her legacy of faith will be celebrated for many years to come. Suzanne shared her testimony about her cancer in a video for MOPS. She shared how her cross was her cancer but she was willing to take on all that it gave her for the chance to share the love of Jesus Christ with other patients, nurses and even the doctors that would attend to her phyiscal needs. As Blackaby says, "If you are waiting for a relationship with God that never requires suffering or inconvenience, then you cannot use Christ as your model."

There will be people in your path today that need to hear about the saving Grace and Love of Christ, are you willing to suffer or be inconvenienced today in order for them to see Christ in you?
